Google’s Changing Things Up Again…

Google’s back in a war with Black Hat and is due for a new algorithm change to battle these spammers.  The problem right now is the tight lips on the change.  Matt Cutts, if you read this, please email me what’s going on.  Inquiring minds want to know…

Google is going to make some algorithm changes to combat a series of malicious websites that have been manipulated to the top of our beloved search results.

For the past few months or so, cybercrooks have been using Blackhat SEO tactics to manipulate the search results. At first these guys were not very good, but still managed to produce some powerful spam sites that we all wish never existed.  With the use of Trend and other tools, these guys were able to disrupt Google SERPS for a number of queries.

Now, these guys have become pretty good at what they do.  This causes a disturbance great enough to force Google’s hand to make some changes in their algorithm.

It’s pretty obvious that Google has to address this issue and respond or they will lose the credibility that they have with their users.  If that happens, then you can say “goodbye” to the most influential company status real fast. Speaking anonymously, a Googler said that there is a change in the works that will reduce, if not eliminate, this issue.  The SEO community, as far as I know, is still lost to what’s happening.

In recent reports by PandaLabs, over 1 million malicious links were found in Google SERPS.  This issue is fast becoming an issue that could threaten Google’s position and must be addresses, we understand that.

Here’s my issue.  I make a living promoting companies with excellent products and I help battle against spam by pointing the customer who seeks “nail polish” (or whatever it may be) to a reputable site that sells nail polish.

Google, I am here for the same goal that you are.  Please tell people like myself what to prepare for and how to be sure we are not violating any pending rule changes before penalties are handed out…
