Know Why Black Hat is Bad
Internet marketing is soaring high and with the SEO or Search Engine Optimization, Website promotions is no more a big deal. However, the illegal and morally unethical business is beaming as high as the popularity of Search Engine Optimization. Webmasters keep wondering how to get high ranking and in their quest for high search rankings end up using illegitimate methods such as “Black Hat”.
What are “Black Hat” techniques?
If you are new to internet marketing, you may not be well versed with “Black Hat” techniques, which are considered to be unethical methods and are employed by webmasters for making their website appear in high search rankings.
At times people don’t know much about the bad impact of Black Hat and gets caught doing something which they find to be correct when it is considered to be a black act website marketing method.

There is no denial to the fact that each entrepreneur who is relying upon internet marketing would want his site to feature amongst top rank in SEO. Even if Black Hat method works and your website comes amongst the top in the search engine ranking, sooner or the later the search engines will get to know about the trick played by you and will penalize you. Thus, Black Hat is nothing else but fooling yourself as well as the search engine. Your own benefit lies in not following the following methods that will only provide you embarrassment.
Stuffing web pages with keywords
The search engines will ban your website as a penalty for Black Hat in case they find you cramming your website with key words, or colours or even fonts. Its not difficult for the website to locate how you have manipulated with the content and it will only bring you degradation for your website by getting banned from google or other top notch search engines.
Invisible text
Invisible text is considered to be another method of spamming by the search engines. Its nothing different from the key words cramming. This method of gaining high ranking on search engines may be really bad for your website.
Doorway pages
Doorway pages are also known as fake pages. Actually these are non-existent but get displayed if a specific phrase or a word is used. These pages are to be viewed only by the search engines so that they may be included in the search results. However, they are not visible to the visitors at all.
Since the purpose of having a Search Engine Optimization is of no consequence the moment such invisible pages enter the internet marketing arena, thus, most of the search engines who keep a moral police policies on such illegitimate and unethical acts follow a severe punishment to combat the usage of doorway pages.
Linking farms
You will find most of the renowned search engines fighting artificial link. These junk links include link farms, link stuffing etc. In short it may not be wrongly put to define linking farms as getting banned your website from search engine database.
Knowing the above mentioned Black Hat techniques and the policies that the top notch search engines follow to overcome the same, it’s better in your website interest to avoid following them. Still many minds would be plagued with a question for sure. “Do Black Hat works technically?”
Well the answer is yes!!! But before you start calculating, let me tell you that it works only temporarily. Its gets caught by the search engine spiders and you may end up falling a prey to Black Hat technique by getting yourself banned by the most renowned search engines. This indeed will do a good amount of damage to your website and brings embarrassment to your site.
Thus, its recommended to use the legitimate techniques of SEO and get benefitted by the same.
